Safety Program and Philosophy
Safety is at the top of the list of concerns and training at Bay Area Concretes. Safety is a key element of our corporate culture and how we operate. Our crews from manager to installer and everyone in between are fully trained and where appropriate, certified. We work hard to keep every job site accident-free.
Safety Program Highlights
- A dedicated, full-time STSC certified safety administrator responsible overseeing all BAC safety training, compliance, and safety program enhancement
- Every job site foreman is OSHA 30, First Aid, and CPR Certified
- Every crew member receives a minimum 10 hours of safety training within their first 14 days of employment
- We always maintain a direct line of communications between safety personnel and the owners or business unit leaders on the site
- BAC has one of the most comprehensive Silica Exposure Control Program in the industry
- Jobsite Safety Analysis (JSA) are conducted each day before work begins to discuss that day’s requirements, identify potential safety concerns as well as plans for avoiding them
- Weekly toolbox talks developed to keep safety top of mind and provide continuing education to leaders and their teams
- Foreman are enrolled in leadership development programs to help them better connect with their teams and get buy in
- We invest heavily into state-of-the-art PPE for our crews to ensure their safety
- QR codes affixed on crew members hard hats to for immediate verification of certifications and emergency contact information
- BAC foremen utilize on mobile technology for access to all SDS, IIPP, SSSP
- All crew team members are certified through our Respiratory Protection Program and fit tested annually
